Firstly, I would like to send our best wishes to Chairman Lance Vick, who following a recent fall, remains in hospital following surgery – we wish him a speedy recovery.

Those of you who visit Preston Park will have noticed improvements being undertaken by landowner Geoff Turbott to widen the bridge on his land which leads to the bottom of the field.  In addition to these works, he has worked with us to improve the path to the Tetbury Trail, making it less steep and making the route accessible for all.  Thank you to Geoff for his continued support in improving the facilities for our community.

As November arrives, we start to look towards Christmas, and you will shortly see our members decorating The Market Hall with lights and putting up and decorating the Christmas trees either side of the steps. Our thanks go to the Lowsley-Williams family at Chavenage House, who generously donate the trees and help us to make The Market House the focal point for the town celebrations.

An important date for noting in your diaries is the annual Christmas Light Switch On, which will take place this year on Friday December 4th – do come along and enjoy this special community evening.

Grants to groups and individuals in Tetbury is one of the ways we support residents and our community. This month we have supported:

·       Tetbury Cricket Club - £1,000 towards improvement works for the cricket square at the Recreation Ground

·       2nd Tetbury Brownies - £200 for 20 new badge books

·       Talking Helps – raising awareness of mental health and suicide prevention - £351 set up costs

·       Royal British Legion Tetbury Poppy Appeal - £150

·        2 local students received grants of £300 each towards resources for their studies.

If you think we may be able to help you or if you are a member of a group who could be helped with a grant, please visit our website - www.thefeoffeesoftetbury.co.uk – where you can also find out more about the work we do in our town. If you would like to volunteer to help us in our work, please get in touch or speak to one of our members.
